Hello guys,

today we will inform you about the consequences of playing truant. At our school in Germany we often notice many pupils who skip lessons. Parents and teachers want afford the young people an excellent school leaving certificate. When students usually skip many lessons they miss subject matter and will be delinquent. The conclusion of skipping lessons is that parents must organise special help and private lessons so that students can follow the instructions. Now the ministry of education and cultural affairs wants to create a truancy patrol as there’s one in London City. Every morning the truancy patrol vans cross around the hang-out-places to “collect” the truants.

Pupils who get catched without permission from school or doctor and who have to be at school at this time must count on very hard punishment.

Frequent absences from school get penalty as follows:

If you break the rules, you may get detention, you could get extra work or get an order mark. In extreme cases you may be suspended temporary or even expelled. You aren’t allow to go on exchanges or day outs anymore! You also get a fail and your parents will be informed about your behaviour.

We think that it’s a good solution to help students to achieve their sightings (high marks) with such rules. With the aid of teachers and parents pupils never want to miss matter and won’t get a fail.

Today I will tell you something about my holidays.

A few weeks ago I had six weeks of summer holidays. That was a great time. I hadn’t school and I relaxed.

In the first week I was with a little group from my city in a self-supporting hut in “Rheinland-Pfalz”.

In the second and third week I was together with my parents in Turkey. I already was very often in Turkey and I had a lot of fun. It was very hot. Every day I was swim and dive in the sea. Our hotel and our room were very very good. There are a lot of Russians and Germans in our hotel.

One day I made a jeep tour by the inland. The jeep was a small car with four seats. I drove to fields, mountains and small villages. I saw a lot. But I didn’t see only fields, mountains and villages. I also saw animals like turtles, horses, sheep, goats, cows, cats and dogs. The jeep tour was very interesting and I had a lot of fun!

Another day I made a white-water rafting tour on a big wild river. Rafting means you drive with a little rubber boat on a river with currents and little waterfalls. But it wasn’t too dangerous. It was very thrilling and exciting. The only silly was: The water was five degrees cold!!!  But I had so much fun that I did again the same white-water rafting tour a few days later. The second one was also exciting and I had again lots of fun. I also have some photos of this nice event.

Moreover, I drove “Quad” through the mountains and fields. It was very funny for me that our guide was a Turk from Germany. He lives in Ensdorf. That is a city close to the city where I live. The name of my city is Saarlouis. We told us very much and maybe we will see us again in Germany!

During the last three weeks of my summer holidays I made different things. I met friends, we were in the swimming-pool and we were eat an ice or went to the cinema. We drove bicycle or played football.

These three weeks were very amusing and great.

In the last week of my great holidays I even learned for the school and repeated important things.

I had nice summer holidays and I’m ready for the next school year. =)

Last week, my class was with our teacher and his two collies on a class trip to England, Oxford. Today I want to tell you some things about this excursion.

My favorite day was Tuesday. In the morning we formed several groups and did a ralley through Oxford. After the ralley we could eat something. My group went to McDonalds.
After the lunch we had spare time. For example, many girls of our class went shopping.
But my group also bought a few nice things. At the midday we took part in a guided tour in oxford. Everybody could understand our guide. We saw many interesting buildings and had a lot of fun. After the tour we had spare time in the city. In the evening we went back to our youth hostel. After lunch we met to control some of the answers from the ralley.

This day was my favorite day because I find Oxford very nice and thrilling and we saw a lot of interesting things.

I haven’t liked the long coach journey, but it was not too bad.

I would like to study at Oxford University because you can meet people from all nations and you can also practise your English.

I have seen some differences in England:

- The cars drive on the left side of the street

- The numer plates are different

- Signs like “no hard shoulder for 100 yards”

 I have liked the school trip and I want again to England

Hi everybody,
some weeks ago, my class participated in a work experience programme organised by our school.
Today I will tell you something about it.

I chose the metallurgical plant “Dillinger Hütte” for my work experience because I wanted to learn something practical. I know only the school lessons and I wanted to learn something craft and something practical. My place was the training workshop.

The “Dillinger Hütte” is a metallurgical plant in Dillingen with more than 300-year-old history. It was founded in 1685 and was the first corporation of Germany (1809).
In the ironworks iron and steel is produced.

Now I want to tell to you something about a typical working day.
I have started at 7 o’clock with the work.
I got my material in the issue and went with it to my workbench.
Then I began with the work.
I had to isolate wires and shorten this.
I also could work on iron records.
But I also learned to weld, to bore and to polish.
This was very funny and intereting.
I have built a play of iron.
The name is “Mensch ärgere Dich nicht”.
And I have built a small airplane with wire.
I might keep both and take home.
At 3 o’clock my working day was finished and I might go home.

I liked most that I have learned so much. I had good contacts with the employees and have also found a few new friends. Everybody was very nice to me and everybody has looked after me. I never had boredom.

Unfortunately, I hadn’t got an inspection of the ironworks, because I always was only in the training workshop.

 But I don’t know yet what I would like to work after the school.

Hello folks!

We have a new homework.
Today I will tell you something about carnival.

Carnival is a party time which begins at November and ends at February.
In this time you can go to many street parties and celebrate with your family and your friends.
The main events are usually during February.
It`s an time with loud and very, very funny music
Children and many adults masquerade as cowboys, indians, clowns or other funny figures.

I don`t like this time but I go often with friends to street parties in “Roden” and “Saarwellingen”. I haven’t masquerade me but in the past I have masquerade me as indian…

I hope you answer me and tell me how you celebrate carnival !!!

1.They aren’t friends with their neighbors! - That’s nonsene! We have friends with      many neighbors.

2.They shake hands any time they meet people. - I don’t think that is typical of german people. We shaken’t hands any time we meet us.

3.Germans absolutely love mineral water. - Yes!!!! It’s true. Lots of german people love mineral water and I too.

4.Few people use a credit card for shopping. - That’s true and there are good reasons for it.

5.They don’t stand in line in stores. - In stores everybody is standing in line.

6.German families go for long walks on Sunday. - I can’t comment on that because my familie never go for long walks on Sundays.

It’s Christmas Eve. Ebenezer Scrooge and his clerk Bob Cratchit work into the store ”Scrooge & Marley”. Ebenezer Scrooge is an old, mean man who hates Christmas. He has a nephew. His name is Fred. Fred comes into the store and like every year he will invate his uncle to christmas dinner. But Scrooge won’t and tells him to go home. In the evening he goes home and he sees that the knocker of the door has the same face like his old friend Marley who is dead. Then Srooge goes to bed. But suddenly he sees the ghost of his old friend. The ghost says that three ghost will come. He runs off. In the night the ghost of christmas past arrives and he takes Srooge for trip. He  explains him his faults and he shows him the things he did. Then the ghost runs off and another ghost arrives. He is the ghost of christmas present who also takes Scrooge for trip. The ghost shows Ebenezer the problems of the familiy of Bob Cratchit. This family has a little son with the name Tiny Tim and they live in a very little house. The ghost explains that Tim is ill and that he is going to die. Also the parents have to find a doctor, but they haven’t enough money.        Then the ghost shows Scrooge the christmas party from his nephew Fred. Srooge sees that all people are happy and have fun. Srooge and the ghost go back. The ghost runs off and a third ghost arrives. He is the ghost of christmas future. He shows Scrooge that he will die and nobody will be sad. He also tells that Tiny Tim will die…..

I hope that the story doesn’t have a bad end. Maybe Scrooge will be another person next day. He can go to his nephew Fred and can say sorry. Then the both will party christmas. He can also go to Bob Cratchit and give him enough money for a doctor for Tim. And at the end he will give a very big christmas party for all people in city.
